Steps for polishing the silver:

1. Use a cellulose sponge because it wont scratch the like the sponges that come supplied with some polishes. Also try cotton balls and use flattened Q-tips between fork tines.
2. Moisten a soft silver-polishing cloth or the sponge included with the silver polish and take a little bit of polish.
3. Rub the silver only in straight-line, back-an-forth motions (not in circles). Avoid scrubbing; rather let the polish do the job.
4. Rinse the silver under running water.
5. Dry the silver completely with a soft, clean cloth.
